1. Who is responsible for your data

ZoomNice (“ZoomNice”, “we”, “us” or “our”) is responsible for the personal information described in this policy. Questions and privacy requests may be sent to support@zoomnice.com.

2. Information we collect

Account information

When you sign in by email, Google or WeChat, we may receive your email address, display name, profile image and the provider-specific account identifier required to connect the login to your ZoomNice account.

Purchase information

The authorized payment provider shown in the central ZoomNice checkout processes payment-card and wallet information. Depending on the available payment method, that provider may be Stripe or Airwallex. ZoomNice receives only the purchase status, amount, currency, transaction identifiers and account reference needed to provide access. We do not receive or store your complete card number or wallet credentials.

Support and technical information

If you contact us, we receive the information you include in your message. Our hosting infrastructure may process ordinary request information such as IP address, browser type, timestamps, security logs and error diagnostics.

3. Recordings and shared audio

Screen access is requested only after you choose to record. The recorder does not request camera or microphone access. You may optionally include audio shared by the selected tab, window or system when Chrome supports it. Imported media, captured media, focus analysis, preview rendering and export run on your device. ZoomNice does not send the recording itself to our servers.

If you later choose to download, upload or share an exported file through another service, that service’s privacy policy applies to that separate action.

4. Chrome extension permissions

The ZoomNice recorder uses temporary access to the tab where you start a recording. This allows it to record normalized pointer positions, input-field focus boundaries and navigation timing so focus moments can be created. It does not collect the text you type.

• activeTab: access to the tab you explicitly activate.
• scripting: temporary recording of interaction geometry and timing, never typed text.
• storage: local preferences and recording metadata.
• record.zoomnice.com host access: opens the first-party Record workspace and sends optional anonymous extension analytics only after you enable it.

Information obtained from Chrome APIs is handled in accordance with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. It is not used for advertising, credit decisions or human review.

5. Optional extension analytics

Anonymous extension analytics are disabled by default. You may enable or disable them at any time from the ZoomNice extension popup. Disabling analytics stops future events immediately and removes the anonymous identifier stored by the extension.

When enabled, the extension may report its version and interface language, whether recording setup, recording, local handoff or export succeeded, coarse duration and focus-count ranges, the capture surface, and whether shared audio was included. The events are sent to a ZoomNice first-party endpoint and may be forwarded to our consent-based Google Analytics property with advertising personalization disabled.

Extension analytics never include your recording, audio, screen pixels, website URL, page title, browsing history, typed text, interaction coordinates, account name, email address or payment information. First-party de-identified event records are retained for up to 90 days for reliability analysis.

6. How we use information

• Provide authentication, ZoomNice Pro access, receipts and customer support.
• Secure the service, prevent abuse and diagnose technical errors.
• Comply with tax, accounting and other legal obligations.
• Improve ZoomNice using aggregated or de-identified product information.

7. Service providers

We use carefully selected providers only where needed to operate the service: Stripe, Airwallex, Paddle or Creem when displayed as the authorized payment provider at checkout; Resend for transactional email; Google and WeChat for optional sign-in; Google Analytics for consent-based website measurement; and hosting and database infrastructure for the website and account records. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy commitments.

ZoomNice does not sell personal information and does not use recording content for targeted advertising.

8. Cookies and local storage

We use essential cookies for sign-in, security and checkout continuity. The editor also uses browser storage to keep device-local projects and preferences.

Google Analytics is optional and loads only after you select “Accept all” in the cookie notice. It helps us understand page visits, traffic sources and aggregated product interaction. We disable advertising signals and do not send recordings, media, names, email addresses or payment details to Analytics. If you select “Reject optional,” the Analytics script is not loaded. Your choice is stored on your device and can be reset by clearing ZoomNice site data.

9. Retention and security

Account information is retained while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward. Purchase records may be retained as required for tax, accounting, fraud prevention and dispute resolution. We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.

10. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection to certain processing. You may also withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. Contact us from the email associated with your account so we can verify the request.

11. International processing and children

Our providers may process limited account and transaction information in countries other than your own, subject to appropriate contractual or legal safeguards. ZoomNice is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

12. Changes and contact

We may update this policy as ZoomNice evolves. Material changes will be posted here with a revised date. Questions or requests may be sent to support@zoomnice.com.
